From a gas boiler to an electric water heater
In this home we replaced an old gas boiler with an electric water heater for hot water.

Another home, the same change.

An electric water heater needs no flue and no gas connection. If the boiler also provided heating, we need to look at how to cover it; we go through it with you during the visit.
Electric water heater or heat pump
The electric water heater heats the water with a resistance element: it is simpler and cheaper to buy. The heat pump uses the heat in the air: it costs more at first, but uses much less electricity.
A heat pump needs a suitable, ventilated space. We check it during the visit and recommend the option that suits you best.
What capacity do I need?
As a guide, around 30 to 50 litres per person is usually allowed. We adjust it to your habits during the visit.
Installation
We visit your home, give you a fixed price and install it, removing the old unit.
Savings comparison: electric water heater or heat pump
A heat pump uses the heat in the air to warm the water, so it uses less electricity than a resistance water heater. Work out an estimate for your home.
Guide estimate: real savings depend on use, model, installation and the electricity price. It assumes mains water at 14 °C and hot water at 55 °C.
Installation costs are indicative “from” prices, with materials and unit included; the final price is confirmed after the visit. They do not include possible grants.
