BeforeAfterBlower wheel and louver
This is how the blower wheel and the louver of a split in a home in the area looked when we opened it, and how they looked after cleaning.

With a dirty unit, air flows less well, the unit cools less, uses more energy and can smell bad. A timely cleaning prevents all of that.
Breakdown repair
We repair units of different brands. Tell us the brand and model and we will say whether it is worth repairing or replacing.
What is wrong with your air conditioner?
A real repair case
These are the flared joints (the flared ends of the copper pipework) we replaced on a unit, and the unit during refrigerant charging after the repair.

When a joint fails, the unit can lose refrigerant and cool less. The joint is replaced, we check there are no more leaks and the correct amount of refrigerant is charged again.
Another real case: a business that was not cooling
A customer called because the ducted air conditioning in their commercial premises was not cooling properly. The condenser (the outdoor unit) was full of dirt and was not ventilating properly. After cleaning it, the unit went back to cooling as it should.

A dirty condenser cannot release heat, so the unit cools less well and uses more energy. That is why it is worth checking and cleaning it regularly, especially on premises and units that run many hours.
On the coast, even more important
Near the sea, salt speeds up corrosion of the outdoor unit; a regular check helps spot it in time.
